🙌 Join a Hackathon

Please always ensure that the details you are provide is correct when registering for a hackathon

Step by Step guide for joining a Hackathon

1. Access Hackathon Dashboard and select the respective Hackathon you would like to participate in.
2. Review the terms & conditions and proceed to provide the required information to proceed with registration
3. Click “Join Hackathon” to register.

Hackathons will be categorised under one of the following:

1. Register Now: Registrations for the hackathon/bounty are open. Submissions for the hackathon/bounty have not begun yet.
2. Ongoing: Submissions for the hackathon/bounty have begun. Depending on the organiser, you may or may not be able to still register for the event.
3. Upcoming: Registrations and submissions for the hackathon/ bounty have not begun yet.
4. Closed: Registrations and submissions for the hackathon/ bounty have closed.

1. Complete your registration by filling in the required details in the registration form.
2. Upon successful registration, you will be able to:
   1. View more details about the hackathon or bounty, including checklist, teams & submission, participants and gallery.
   2. Once the submission window opens, make your submission.

Ensure that you have selected the correct team status and the right track that you wish to participate in.

🧑‍💻 Create a team

Step by Step guide for creating a team

1. Access the Hackathon Page and select Teams & Submission
2. Proceed to create your team

Depending on the hackathon format, number of team members may vary.

1. You can invite team members based off their StackUp username/email.

<aside> ❗

Please ensure that your team member(s) has registered for the hackathon before you can add them into your team.

1. Once you have added all your team members, you may proceed to create a team.

As the team leader, you may add/remove team members or delete the team at any point before submission.

🧑‍💻 Join a team

A team should be created by the team leader in order to invite members.

Step by Step guide for joining a team

1. You will receive an email from StackUp upon being added into a team by your team leader.

You may leave the team at any point before submission. An email notification will be sent to the rest of your team.

Leave, Remove, or Delete a Team

How to Leave a Team

• Go to Team & Submission and click the Leave Team button.
• The team leader will receive a notification email about your departure.

You can only make this change if your leader or team hasn't submitted your entry yet.

How to Remove a Team Member

• Only the team leader can remove a member. You can only make this change if you haven't submitted your entry yet.
• Go to Team & Submission, click the Manage Team button, and click the Remove Icon (x) next to the team member's name. Save the changes.
• The removed team member will receive an email notification. </aside>
